I am honored to share that my own journey toward healing has ignited a lifelong passion for self-development. I have a lived experience of how challenging the road to recovery and healing can be, having experienced both shock and complex trauma myself.

At Thrive Strategies LLC, we offer a safe and supportive space for adults seeking experienced professional trauma therapy services. As a licensed therapist with an Ed.S. in Psychology and Counseling from Arkansas State University, I am dedicated to ongoing education and personal therapy to better serve my clients.

To foster a healthy therapeutic relationship, I engage in the Person-Centered counseling theory. Person-centered counseling, also known as client-centered therapy, is a humanistic approach to counseling. It emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Person-centered counseling places the client at the center of the therapeutic process, recognizing their inherent capacity for growth and self-actualization.

Fundamentally,  I utilize SomExSM. SomEx is an interactive process between me and the client, which incorporates the integration of body and brain memories into present sensory experiences. By maintaining emotional regulation and fostering a focused attunement to the present moment, combined with somatic, empathetic, and relational approaches, unresolved issues are transformed, leading to a harmonious state in the nervous system. This process allows individuals to reconnect with their inner selves, rekindle and rediscover their inherent abilities to navigate and express genuine emotions, confront and accept personal and interpersonal truths, heal from shame, take responsibility for their actions, and embark on a journey of growth, well-being, and flourishing.

Also, I have fully completed training in Internal Family Systems, an evidence-based treatment that honors each client's unique journey. In IFS, or "parts work", the way we have been protecting ourselves is honored and explored. This modality is great for shadow work where we can build capacity to send compassion and acceptance to those aspects of us that we aren't very proud of.

Additionally, I have also received training in EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique. Clinical EFT has been identified as a validated approach for addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, phobias, and PTSD. EFT is a type of energy psychology in which anxiety-producing memories are paired with tapping specific points on the body (meridian points) along with the use of spoken affirmations. It is important to note that clinical EFT distinguishes itself from self-administered EFT, as it involves a prescribed protocol and necessitates the guidance of a certified healthcare professional.

Additionally, there are options to integrate various other techniques such as Art, Guided Imagery, and Nature Therapy to facilitate your healing process.

I am deeply committed to helping you find your path toward healing and growth.
